Who wants to come here for vacation? |
I thought I was living in New England, but it feels more like North Carolina. Seriously, this morning was 72 degrees F at 7am with a dew point at 70 degrees. I felt like I was back in Jacksonville, NC. It's been like this for days and it doesn't look like it's going to let up. I used the weather as a lame excuse for not painting last week and I'm going to use it again this week. However, I have set up a makeshift spraying box in my kitchen. I am going to prime the succubus it there, but with the humidity being what it is I'm not going to open any windows. I don't want to fumigate my house or get my daughter high with the fumes. I will have her primed today and maybe get some paint on her tonight when my daughter goes to sleep.
So to fill the gap I'll walk you through my Nephilim Protector conversion. This one was much easier to do the the Soldier.
Step four, drill holes into the ax (look at the pretty picture). Step five, drill through the haft in the hand and drill into the wrist.
Do you feel like a monkey yet? |
You will . . . |
Now, put the two halves of the upper body together and drill into the dimples where the arms would go and into the pegs on each arm. If you want to pin the pinions you should drill and attach them now. Now, you need to glue pins into the hand and into each arm peg. Here comes the tricky part. Slide the pins from each arm into the torso and the pin going through the hand into the haft of the ax. Rotate the arms above the Protectors's head and slide the pin in the wrist into the right forearm. Glue it into place when you have everything lined up. I had to use some accelerant to keep everything in place. Finally, glue the ax head into place. In the end, you should end up with something that looks like this.
Grrrr |
Well, between nap time and putting my daughter down for the night I finally got the Succubus primed. I decided not to convert the Bolt Thrower. I will probably get at least one more of each Nephilim as well as the new Bloodseer (when it finally gets out).
Well, I will finally put brush to model, but you'll have to wait until next week.
